Preview how a title and meta description may look in Google results, with length checks. It runs in your browser.
How to use it
- Enter your title, description and the page URL.
- Check the title width against 600 pixels and the description length against 155 characters.
- Edit until both fit, with the key words near the start.
Example
“Free Online Word Counter – 99digest” measures about 275 of 600 pixels, and a 37-character description is well inside 155.
Good to know
Google cuts titles by pixel width, not character count, so narrow letters take less room than wide ones. The tool estimates width from typical character sizes, so treat it as a close guide. The 600-pixel and 155-character limits are widely quoted guidance, not fixed rules: Google can change how it truncates, and it sometimes rewrites titles and descriptions to match the search. Give each page its own, put the important words first and write the description for a person.
