How to use it

  1. Enter the start date and the end date.
  2. Read the number of days and the approximate weeks.

Example

From 1 January 2026 to 25 December 2026 is 358 days, about 51.1 weeks. The count is the number of days that pass between the two dates, so the start day itself is not counted; add 1 if you want both the first and last day included.

Good to know

Leap years are handled automatically. The result is calendar days, including weekends and holidays; to estimate working days, take the weeks times five and subtract local public holidays. “Weeks” is days divided by seven and shown as a decimal, not a count of calendar weeks. For a notice period or due date, use the Date Add/Subtract Calculator, which gives the end date directly.

See the guide.

FAQs

What if the end date is before the start date?

Swap them. The size of the gap is the same, and the order only tells you the direction.
