How to use it
- Enter the temperature.
- Choose the scale you have and the one you want.
- Read the result.
Formulas
- °F = °C × 9/5 + 32
- °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9
- K = °C + 273.15
Checks: 100°C is 212°F, 98.6°F is 37°C, and 0 K is −273.15°C.
Good to know
Absolute zero (0 K, −273.15°C) is the lowest possible temperature, so values below it get a clear message instead of a number. A change of 1 K equals a change of 1°C, but 1°C is 1.8°F. The two scales meet at −40. For a mental estimate from Celsius to Fahrenheit, double and add 30.
