How to Convert Images to a PDF

Photos of a form, a set of receipts or a stack of scans are easier to send and archive as one PDF.

Using the tool

  1. Open the Images to PDF tool and choose one or more PNG or JPG files.
  2. Build the PDF, with one image on each page.
  3. Download the PDF and check the page order.

Only PNG and JPG are supported. For a WebP or other format, convert it first with the image converter. Everything runs in your browser, so your images are not uploaded.

Getting a good result

  • Rotate sideways photos first with the rotator.
  • Crop away table edges and backgrounds so the pages look tidy.
  • Name files so they sort in the right order, such as page-01 and page-02, and check the page order in the result.

File size

A PDF built from phone photos can be large, because each photo is full resolution. Resize or compress the images first with the compressor if you need to email the result.

What it does not do

It does not run text recognition, so the text in a scanned page is not searchable or selectable. Each page is made exactly the size of its image, in pixels, so the PDF will not be A4 or Letter: a 4,000 × 3,000 photo becomes a very large page. Resize images to a sensible size first if you plan to print.

Frequently asked questions
