Everyday developer chores should not need an install. These handle formatting, converting and encoding in the browser.
JSON
- JSON Formatter: indent, minify and sort keys. See the guide.
- JSON Validator: where it fails and why. See common causes.
- JSON and CSV Converter for flat data, and JSON Escape/Unescape for embedding text in strings.
Markup and encodings
- XML Formatter to check well-formedness and re-indent.
- Base64 and Base32/Base58 encoders.
- URL Encoder/Decoder with component and full-URL modes, explained in component vs full encoding.
- HTML Entity Encoder/Decoder for the characters that break markup.
Things to remember
- Base64 and the other encodings are not encryption.
- These tools run locally, but avoid pasting live credentials into any web page you do not control.
- The HTML entity tool handles five named entities and numeric ones, not the full named list.
- The JSON tools follow the standard: no comments and no trailing commas.
