PDF Metadata Viewer / Editor
View and edit a PDF's title, author, subject, and keywords — entirely in your browser, the file is never uploaded anywhere.
View and edit a PDF’s title, author, subject and keywords. It runs in your browser and the file is not uploaded.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF (up to 50 MB).
- Read the existing values and edit any of them.
- Download the updated PDF.
Why check it
- Privacy: the author field often holds a real name or company from the software that made the file.
- Presentation: the title appears in browser tabs and is read out by screen readers.
- Findability: subject and keywords can help document search systems.
Good to know
The editor covers those four fields only. Other hidden information, such as comments, attachments or editing history, is not touched, so review the document itself too if privacy matters. Changing metadata does not alter the pages. Password-protected PDFs cannot be processed. Photos carry their own hidden data; see the EXIF Viewer.
